Welcome to this first drone blog by STAND<\/a>, your ally and advisor in the fascinating domain of drones!<\/p>\n

Finally, this year, Transport Canada<\/a>‘s regulations for drones<\/a> (aka RPAS for Remotely Piloted Aircraft System or SATP for Syst\u00e8me d\u2019A\u00e9ronef T\u00e9l\u00e9Pilot\u00e9 in French) will be released on June 1st. Late compared to several countries, however, Canada has the advantage of being able to draw inspiration from the good and bad moves of other countries and it has the merit of having developed a regulation severe enough to ensure the safety of its citizens. 2019 is therefore a pivotal year for all stakeholders working with or near drones.<\/p>\n

STAND<\/a> has been in the front line and has distinguished itself since the very beginning of the drones’ supervision by the aeronautical authorities: Canada-wide consultation by Transport Canada<\/a> of stakeholders in the drone field in September 2017 at Place Bonaventure, participation and registration at RODQ<\/a> (Quebec Drone Operators’ Grouping where our President Mathieu S\u00e9guin sits on the Board of Directors as Treasurer) which aims to bring together all the RPAS pilots in order to speak with a strong and united voice to governmental bodies, holder of a permanent national Special Flight Operations Certificate<\/a> (SFOC or COAS in French) for several years demonstrating our professionalism in the eyes of Transport Canada<\/a>, obtaining our drone pilot certificate of small RPAS advanced operations with qualifications of flight reviewer<\/a>…<\/p>\n

C\u2019est enfin cette ann\u00e9e que la r\u00e8glementation de Transport Canada concernant les drones (alias SATP pour Syst\u00e8me d\u2019A\u00e9ronef T\u00e9l\u00e9Pilot\u00e9 ou en anglais RPAS pour Remotely Piloted Aircraft System) va voir le jour le 1er juin. En retard sur plusieurs pays, le Canada a toutefois l\u2019avantage d\u2019avoir pu s\u2019inspirer des bons et moins bons coups d\u2019autres pays et il a le m\u00e9rite d\u2019avoir \u00e9laborer une r\u00e8glementation suffisament s\u00e9v\u00e8re pour assurer la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 de ses citoyens. 2019 est donc une ann\u00e9e charni\u00e8re pour tous les intervenants oeuvrant de proche ou de loin avec les drones.<\/p>

STAND a \u00e9t\u00e9 en premi\u00e8re ligne et s\u2019est d\u00e9marqu\u00e9 depuis le tout d\u00e9but de l\u2019encadrement des drones par les autorit\u00e9s a\u00e9ronautiques: consultation pancanadienne par Transport Canada des intervenants dans le domaine du drone en septembre 2017 \u00e0 la Place Bonaventure, participation et inscription au RODQ (Regroupement des Op\u00e9rateurs de Drone du Qu\u00e9bec o\u00f9 si\u00e8ge notre pr\u00e9sident Mathieu S\u00e9guin sur le conseil d\u2019administration \u00e0 titre de tr\u00e9sorier) qui vise \u00e0 regrouper tous et toutes les pilotes de SATP dans le but de parler d\u2019une voix forte et unie aux instances gouvernementales, d\u00e9tenteur d\u2019un Certificat d\u2019Op\u00e9rations A\u00e9riennes Sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9es (COAS ou SFOC en anglais) permanent national depuis plusieurs ann\u00e9es d\u00e9montrant bien notre professionnalisme aux yeux de Transport Canada, obtention de nos certificats de pilote de petit SATP op\u00e9rations avanc\u00e9es avec qualifications d\u2019\u00e9valuateur\u2026 Nous sommes tr\u00e8s bien implant\u00e9s et nous continuerons d\u2019\u00eatre des meneurs dans cette industrie florissante!
